My favorite sushi place in Regina. We live in Regina and have tried a few other sushi restaurants but always come back to Misoya.
Yes it is pricey by Regina standards.
You choose your order from a menu, choose how many of each and give the order to the server. Food comes out quite fast.
The tempura and miso soup are consistently the best I've had. We enjoy spinach gomae but you need to order 6 orders at a time go get 1/2 up of it. Spinach gomae orders are very small so order many!
We have a non-anaphylactic fish allergy among our family and have not had issues with reactions. We enjoy unagi, kappa, dynamite, green dynamite, dragon, bakudan salmon, salmon dadaki, and many of the side dishes like udon and edamame.
They threaten to charge you $1.50 per leftover piece to get you to not over order. I've never been charged extra in the 5+ years I've been eating here.
It's a great choice if you are in Regina and looking to eat sushi. Child friendly! My sons (ages 12 & 14) enjoy eating here too! -

This is all-you-can-eat sushi. Your table has a list of all the menu items, you mark with a pencil how many you want of each and a few minutes later...bam. They actually have very fast (and very friendly) service. You get charged for any leftovers you don't eat.
This really is good sushi. There's really never fresh ocean fish in the prairies, but honestly most sushi has more avacoda than fish. I did try a few ocean critters here - squid, shrimp, etc. And it was decently fresh. Tasty too.
There's only a handful of non-sushi items such as tempura. Over all very good food. Fast and tasty.
The restaraunt has regular tables and also traditional Japanese style sitting on the floor. -

Worst service and attitude ever. We ordered pick up from SkipTheDishes. Was requested by the owner to get cash within 10 mins when arrived to pick up the food. Otherwise do not take the food. The owner said cash only for SKIPTHEDISHES orders. Come on! It's not the 1st time we ordered through STD and paid by credit when picking up. Who else can be so rude to customers?! It is the buyer's market. I will never go to this restaurant again. And I will pass the story along to everyone!

I love sushi. Although, lovable sushi in this city is quite hard to find. Honestly, how fresh can any fish be when it has to be shipped thousands of miles from the ocean to make it to my plate. Seems fishy.
We went because were heard there was "all you can eat," for $22.00. There is a 2 hour limit per table and a large selection on the menu. Maybe they were just too busy when we were there but..... the service was horrific. We ordered wine and it can literally 30 mins later. We never got some things we ordered, and basically gave up requesting them. Not once would the servers make eye contact in fear of having to answer a question.
The place was cute though, and very clean. I'm willing to give it a second chance, but they can do better.
